Who operates PaperSlip
PaperSlip is operated by Lovelace Media. Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to [email protected].
What we collect and why
PaperSlip is a tool for solo service professionals, including pool techs, lawn crews, cleaners, handymen, and other people who work in the field. Here is what we collect:
- •Your phone number. We use this to verify your identity when you log in. We send you a one-time code via SMS (through Twilio). We do not use your number to market to you.
- •Your business information. Your business name and the details you enter when setting up your account. This shows on your invoices and customer pages.
- •Customer records you create. The names, phone numbers, addresses, visit logs, invoice records, and notes you add for your customers. You enter this information and remain responsible for it.
- •Work photos (optional). If you upload photos of jobs to your My Work gallery, we store them on your behalf.
- •Invoice text for translation (optional). When you request a translation, we send the relevant invoice text to Anthropic to produce the translated version. PaperSlip does not use this text to train AI models.
- •Google Play subscription records (Play app only). If you choose Pro through an eligible Google Play install, PaperSlip receives a Google Play token for that purchase link and records the subscription or refund details needed for program reporting. These records include transaction references, amount, currency, and time. They do not include your full card number.
- •Session cookies. We use cookies only to keep you logged in. No third-party tracking cookies. No ad networks.
Where your data is handled
PaperSlip stores account and business records on Cloudflare. We use Twilio to send login codes, Anthropic to translate invoice text when you request it, Stripe to process PaperSlip subscriptions, and Google Play to confirm eligible external purchase links and receive required transaction reports. Each provider handles only the data needed to provide its service. Data may be processed where those providers operate.
Payments
Stripe processes PaperSlip subscriptions. PaperSlip never sees or stores full card numbers. Card information goes directly to Stripe under Stripe's terms and privacy policy.
For eligible purchases started from the Google Play app, Google Play receives its program token and the transaction or refund details required by the External Content Links program. PaperSlip does not send your name, phone number, customer records, or full card number in those reports.
What we do NOT do
- •We do not sell your data. Not now, not ever.
- •We do not rent your data to marketers.
- •We do not show ads inside PaperSlip.
- •We do not use your customers' data to contact them directly.
Your responsibility as a pro
When you add a customer's name, phone number, or address to PaperSlip, we store it on your behalf. You are responsible for having a lawful reason to collect and use your customers' information. Do not add people who have not hired you. Treat their information with care.
Data retention & deletion
Your data stays in PaperSlip while your account is active. You can delete your account from Settings. This removes your profile, customer records, documents, photos, and other account data, and it cancels any associated Stripe subscription.
We retain a non-reversible account reference and the minimum billing and reporting records for seven years after the latest of these events: your subscription ends, its final financial adjustment, or completion of reconciliation with the payment and reporting providers. These records do not include your profile, phone number, customer records, documents, or photos. We keep affected records longer while reporting, a refund, a dispute, or a legal hold remains unresolved. We review records for deletion after the retention period and any hold have ended.
Google Play reporting tokens follow a separate rule. We store them encrypted and remove them when Google accepts the initial purchase report, or after a documented provider resolution confirms they are no longer needed. A delayed payment confirmation or unresolved reporting failure can extend token retention, including after account deletion. We review unresolved cases daily; expired checkout access does not erase an outstanding reporting obligation.
Payment providers may keep their own transaction records under their policies and legal duties.
You can also request deletion at paperslip.app/delete-account. Email requests are completed within 30 days.
Children
PaperSlip is designed for adult service professionals running their own businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to this policy, we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect. We will not make your data less private without giving you a chance to close your account first.
